National Scholarship Portal As we know today’s cost of higher education has increased unbelievably many of the talented and brilliant students in our country are unable to offer the cost of higher studies lack financial challenges faced by his / her family.

So, to aid the cause of such talented and deserving students, the Government of India has taken initiative to help all such talented students through National Scholarship Portal which provide financial Assistance for deserving candidates by offering then scholarship to pursue higher education and fulfill their dreams.

About National Scholarship Portal:

the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) is a distinctive proposal that helps students to provide benefits of educational scholarship in an efficient and transparent manner; it’s like one-stop solution by which a number of services like student application, application receipt, sanction, processing, and disbursal of different scholarships to students are enabled. This Nation Scholarship Portal (NSP) is a mission mode project on National e-Government Plan (NGP).

The NPS is initiative aims at providing a Simplified, Mission-oriented, Accountable, Responsive and Transparent (SMART) system for effective and faster disbursal of scholarships applications.

Objectives for NSP Portal:

  • Application of direct benefit transfer.
  • Create a transparent database of scholars.
  • Avoid duplication in processing.
  • Harmonization of different scholarships schemes and norms.
  • To ensure timely disbursement of scholarships to students.
  • Provide a common portal for various scholarships schemes of Central & State Governments.

  • Candidates can check their application status & Renew their own application with User ID and Password given by the system
  • Provision of SMS and e-mail alerts to the Stake Holders such as Institution and students at the different stage of processing
  • candidates can renewal the application only by the institutions by introducing the application from last year
  • Role-Based Unique Login ID and Password will be made available to all stakeholders.

 The amount for National Scholarship Portal (NSP):

Candidates can check the rate of scholarship for minority students as follows-
