Aspire Scholarship Scheme in Kerala

Aspire Scholarship Scheme is started by Kerala State Government. The scholarship is to provide the opportunities to provide short-term projects/internships other than their parent Universities or colleges departments

Kerala state Government offers scholarships for PG, Ph.D., MPhil students who have academic excellence in University department collages. The main aim of this scheme is to provide the opportunity to National research institutions and their interaction with scholarship schemes

The scholarship can take Kerala University/any other university within state/outside of the state. The scholarship scheme is available for a minimum period is one month and maximum for four months. 20% seats are reserved for SC/ST category.

Aspire Scholarship Scheme

Eligibility for Aspire Scholarship Scheme:

  • Applicants must be studying M.Phil, Post Graduation and Ph.D. in Government or Government aided colleges under Kerala universities, MG, Calicut, and Kannur
  • Candidates of University department are not entitled to Aspire scholarship
  • Applicants who have part under UGC, JRF, CSIR and SRF awards are not eligible to apply for this scholarship
  • After completion of scholarship period, a student must submit the attendance statement from the institute with project report to release scholarship amount
  • A student must have minimum 85% attendance and good academic record for a particular course

Rate of scholarship:

Eligible candidates will award the scholarship amount as

  • Within state: Rs 8000 per month
  • Outside of state: Rs 10 000 per month

A time period of Aspire Scholarship Scheme:

  • For Post Graduate students: Maximum one month
  • Phil students: Maximum 2 months
  • D. students: Maximum up to 4 months

Required Documents for Aspire Scholarship Scheme

  • A work planned written proposal
  • Consent of guide in parent institution and their recommendation of a student for an award
  • Brief curriculum vitae of student
  • Biodata of scholarship with whom a student is going to study
  • Acceptance letter from the host institution and supervisor
  • Consent letter from HoD

Application procedure for Aspire Scholarship Scheme in Kerala:

  • Applicants need to submit their research to concerned University
  • That submitted proposal by students will assess by the committee constituted by Principal
  • List of students names should forward to Director of Collegiate Education along with research proposals submitted
  • The list of names of Ph.D. and M.Phil students may submit in priority order with research proposals and consent letters
